The 3 hardest Pilates moves I teach

Hello Reader,

In March I participated in what’s known as March Matness.
Every day (or almost every day, because I’m a human and not a robot) I posted a video on Instagram showcasing a Pilates exercise.

Some of these movements are incredibly challenging.
You can watch a really quick overview of it all HERE.

But when I think about the hardest Pilates moves I teach, you might be a little bit surprised.

If you thought I was going to say Teaser or Control Balance, you’re not wrong. They are very hard.
But I actually believe the hardest moves don’t happen on the mat.
They happen in your mind.

Here they are:

Showing up
Listening inward
Being kind to yourself

Showing up asks you to choose yourself over and over again, even when it’s inconvenient or you feel unmotivated.

Listening inward asks you to trust your own experience instead of always looking outside for answers.

And being kind to yourself…
This might be the hardest one of all.
It’s easy to be critical, to notice what’s not working, and to feel behind or not good enough.
Kindness asks you to meet yourself where you are without trying to fix or change anything.

I believe this is where real change happens.
Not in chasing the most advanced exercise, but in building a relationship with yourself that you can trust.

And from there, the rest really does get easier.

♥️
