Hello Reader, This past weekend I had the wonderful opportunity to host an incredible group of women in my home for the REPLENISH retreat with Rachel Mark. My cup felt so full afterwards. It was a beautiful group of trusting souls, and the experience itself was calm, grounding, and deeply nourishing. I was tired after, sure. It takes a lot of energy to organize and hold a day like that. But more than tired, I felt aligned with my purpose, and that kind of alignment is incredibly energizing. At the retreat, I taught a Pilates class to the group. For some of the women, it was their very first time. Others were more experienced. And afterwards, I just felt so happy. I know I teach from a place of love and compassion. I am not trying to fix or correct anyone’s body. I trust that each body is innately intelligent, and I offer guidance to help people tune into their own wisdom. No matter where someone is in their journey, there is something available to them. And I think this matters because so many people have had the opposite experience. Being told what they should be able to do. If you’ve ever felt unsure where you fit, or hesitant to begin, you are not alone. And I had this little moment of, oh right… that’s why my business is called Wise Moves. Haha! Lately, I have been calling what I do compassionate Pilates. And that feels really true. We are expanding. We are building strength. We are becoming more capable. But we are doing it with care. With attention. And with the kind of tenderness that this human experience actually requires. If that sounds like your kind of jam, you're in the right place. ♥️ |
